The residential house was erected in the “Stalinist” part of the Moskovsky prospect and has a similar style. The building is a single-piece rectangular body. The elaboration of the façades is nuanced and deep. Their finishing includes diverse ornamental and sculptural details: moldings, molded cornices, balustrades, bas-reliefs, and rounded plastic shapes. The storeys above the intermediary cornice have modern floor-to-ceiling windows. A balustrade with obelisks frames the roof. The façades decoration is rich with sculptural elements, which provides for a vivid architectural image of the building, at the same time preserving the laconic severity of its shapes. The interiors of the building have also been decorated in a common neoclassic style. The entrance to the residential part is located on the house axis. There is a main double-height lobby with a reception. The monumental chandelier that now adorns the lobby was previously located in the Pervoy Pyatiletki Palace of Culture (a known soviet and post-soviet community center, now demolished) . The residential house fits well the style of this part of the city, which has emerged in the course of history. The building has become widely known and was included in the IAA 2016 award short list. |
