The project is redesigning of a non-residential building into a 4-storied enhancedcomfort apartment hotel. The architectural solution was oriented to maximum developing of the allocated space and organic affiliation of the building with the existent architectural and historical environment of St. Petersburg center. The building is U-shaped; it has an enclosed court with observation sites bridged over by a roof-level translucent structure, which connects two symmetrical volumes of the building. Its principal front, which just as the entire building is plated by ceramics and natural stones, complemented by decorative metallic elements and sophisticated by projected glass bay windows, balconies and terraces is faced towards the south pond, which is the hotel’s orientation dominant. |
