The design of the apartment house in volumetric and architectural engineering terms is performed so as to provide the organic inclusion of the building's architectural fashion into the existing architectural and historical environment. The frontage of the designed apartment house shapes the development front of Nevsky Avenue, and is treated within the scope ensuring preservation of the historical development module along the red-line of Nevsky Avenue. The building's concept falls within the transformed avant-garde stylistics.
The tree-dimensional volumetric concept of the apartment house is arranged as an ensemble of two symmetrical elements of the building with passages, two front arcs integrated by the penthouse ‘plate' at the top and interconnected in terms of composition (and function) by the staircase and elevator well. The staircase and elevator well with its glazed passages is the central compositional symmetry axis of the building, which enables arranging the front entrance from Nevsky Avenue. Two front arcs break the characteristic front of the ribbon buildings. The faсade tectonics is traditional for historical center - with emphasizing basement and eaves sections, observing the overall level and relevant characteristics of Nevsky Avenue's adjacent historical development.
