Most of the territory where the complex was built had been empty for a long time, and the existing buildings were in bad shape. Therefore, the design provided for overall renovation of the entire environment and partial restoration of old facades. The building complex comprising apartment buildings, office and shopping premises, hotel and dining complex is designed simply and concisely, but every facility has its own identity and shape determined by number of stories, compartmentation, roofing design and surrounding buildings geometry. The complex's focus is the horseshoe seven-storied apartment building slit by two high arcs opening the view of the rotunda of the S. Vavilov State optical institute. The interior is made by "Evata", "Living Design", "Pöyry" companies.
