The building is an 8-storied double-section house where the design featured combination of two contents different in shape and material: rectangular (six-storied stone parallelepiped supporting the height of the existing buildings) and elliptic (two-storied glass mansard projecting from the front wall plane of the building's main body). The general composition of the facades facing Nevsky avenue and Telezhny lane is designed in the spirit of palazzo with regular repeated attached stone columns cut in stories by cornices. The middle layer is decorated by banded attached columns forming window bays with French-style balcony decorative grates; the top one is distinguished by window pattern. The project's special planning idea was bringing the staircase and elevator assembly out of the residential sections and locating it along the fire wall of the adjacent building, which enabled the freedom of design planning.
