The site was developed in the middle of the 19 century. In 1860 the site belonged to the honorary citizen Tarasov and then to his heirs until 1917. According to the projects by Gaselmeyer in 1860-1867 there were built one by one 2 and 3-storeyd wings parallel to the Obvodny Channel embankment, and 3-storeyd main building. The wings were located traditionally - in the quarter. But in the 1871 the new street (Tarasov lane, Egorova str.) was built and the in-quarter-wings occurred to be on the front of the new street. |
