The design of the business-class residential complex ‘Europe City' includes 17 residential blocks thoughtfully arranged over a total square of 70,000 m². The design combines brand-new and the so-called ‘old' methods that have stood the test of time.
Farther off the main street the ten thirteen-storey free-standing blocks, spaced symmetrically in two rows, go along the cite's main axle, namely, the wide pedestrian zone. The unique landscape design together with green and ever-green trees is expected to help create a cozy inner-yard space.
The project also envisions an underground parking lot as well as an ‘open-air' one.
Another row of blocks consisting of seven nine - storey buildings with the ground floors purposefully spaced for commercial use, such as shops, beauty salons, pharmacies, etc. stretches along the main street. The corner building is turned at an angle of 45 degrees towards the crossroads at Pavlova str. and Medikov prospect, ensuring a wonderful prospective of the district from the Kantemirovskiy Bridge.
Following the tradition of the historical downtown of Saint-Petersburg, with its frontline facades forming long uninterrupted rows along the streets, the blocks' facades have been divided into sections and laid with ceramic panels of contrasting colours, relief and texture that help to create an illusion of a row of low-height buildings standing closely next to each other.
Also, the colorful ceramic panels in the facades' finishing, applied all over the ten residential blocks standing in two rows inside the site's territory, help to diversify and break the monotony of these straight-angled massive architectural forms in order to add an extra effect as if the facades are counter-playing each other.
