The basic idea of the project is to create beyond Saint Petersburg boundaries some fullfledged urban environment based on using recognized images and urban design planning techniques of the largest European cities like Berlin, Rome, Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, Amsterdam and London. The area is supposed to be stretched from north to south; a large office building, landscape park, spacious pedestrian area, essential shopping and entertainment premises will be erected along its major axis, and everything will be culminated in a big square. Housing estates featuring recognizable Parisian star squares, centered Rome streets, square secluded quarters of Barcelona, canal networks resembling Amsterdam canals, etc. will be symmetrized in pairs on either side of the central promenade.
