The main idea of the town-planning concept is forming a new complex around the B.J. Eifman Dance Palace and along the new "Embankment of Europe". Town-planning method is based on a harmonious combination of a new square around the theatre, of a chain of residential and office blocks surrounding it and facing the embankment and of the streets, the axis of one of which is aimed at the Prince Vladimir Cathedral in the north and at St. Isaac's Cathedral in the south. |
