The project is a part of the development plan for the huge territory of the former ZIL car plant in Moscow. One of the ZIL Art residential buildings is built along a design by the Evgeny Gerasimov and Partners architectural workshop. The architectural solution of the building is determined by the site profile and by the common architectural design code of the whole area.
The site will be surrounded by a 14-storey residential house in the north, east and west; in the south, the contour will be closed by a 3-storey building of townhouses. According to the design, the building will be a single mass of strict proportions. The facades decorations serve as the main expressive means, bearing a sense of contemporaneity and modernism. The whole facades are coated with Flemish brick, its warm colors building a complex rhythm arranged by a distinct pattern of the window openings.
The buildings form a closed court. An underground 2-level parking is located under the court and partly under the residential buildings. all the entrances into the residential sections are oriented into the courtyard. The entrances into the built-in commercial spaces are located in the streets from the side of surrounding buildings.
