The residential complex is located on the Petrovsky island, on the Malaya Neva river bank, bordering the historic parts of the Petrogradslaya Storona and Vasilevsky Island. The Petrovsky Island itself has developed no architectural image of its own, the area being partly green space and partly former industrial properties, now with a lot of construction activity. The project is divided into three priority stages.

The first priority stage comprises a rectangular building (# 2) facing the Malaya Neva with its southern façade and making up for the river embankment, as well as a linear building (# 1), which consists of four buildings with passages and fills in the area along the Petrovsky avenue. The buildings are connected with an underground plinth hosting a parking. Another single section building is located inside the quarter. There is a kindergarten next to it.

The terraces of the building #2 façade descend towards Malaya Neva. To reach the apartments, one needs to enter a landscaped yard through an arch. Another scenic arch faces the river. All of the buildings have 6-7-8 floors.

The northern façade of the building #1 is highlighted by a pitched roof with velux-type windows and accentuated lucarnes, typical of historic Saint Petersburg. The staircase space is concealed by metal lattices with perforated patterns.

The layout of the building #3 provides for scenic terraces, which emphasize the uneven skyline of the development.

The three buildings of the first priority stage possess a common rhythm, which also demands for checkerboard textures and colours of the façade ceramic coating.

The second priority stage consists of a single 12 sections rectangular building with a closed landscaped yard. The southern façade of this eight-storey building descends towards Neva in two terraces. The windows form four “belts”, each 2 storeys high. A chaotic rhythm of the colouring and geometry provokes a scaling play and facilitates the visual perception of the large building space.

The first two buildings of the third priority stage build the frontage line of the Petrovsky avenue and the Petrovskaya square, correspondingly. The bending façade of the second building includes an arch which lies along the axis of the Savina street. The passage inside the quarter leads to water and provides for a center line: there are 6 more one-section buildings situated in pairs along the passage.

The buildings which shape the avenue and the square bear a strict minimalistic style. This concerns the colour palette and the architectural decorations.

The buildings of the three priority stages form a single architectural ensemble as a result of the material choice (terracotta) and common architectural traits. On the other hand, various features provide for the individual style and local identity of each building.
